Mysore/Mysuru: Unable to bear the demand for money by her alleged lover and his friends, Sangeetha, a 22-year-old girl ended her life by hanging self at her residence in N.R. Mohalla on June 8.
Sangeetha was said to be in love with one Akash, a resident of N.R. Mohalla. Akash, who wanted to open a Café, used to pester her for money by asking her to avail loan by mortgaging the house owned by her mother.
Following this, Sangeetha had told her mother that she was depressed over the demand. She had also told that Akash and his friends were to be held responsible in case of her death.
Based on a complaint by Sangeetha’s mother, N.R. Police who have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Akash, his friends Satya and Tina,are investigating.
