Girl killed as bus hits

Nanjangud: A 13-year-old girl was killed on the spot, when a KSRTC bus reportedly hit her on Chamarajanagar-Nanjangud bypass road near Medadageri yesterday.

The deceased girl is Ashwini, daughter of Siddaraju of Medarageri. Ashwini was crossing the road, when a KSRTC bus (KA-09-F-4247) hit her resulting in Ashwini breathing her last at the spot due to severe bleeding.

Meanwhile, the public and the girl’s relatives, who took the bus driver to task, allegedly threw stones on the bus damaging the glasses. Meanwhile, bus driver Giri, who took ill due to the incident, has been admitted to the Government Hospital, said the Police.

Nanjangud Traffic Police ASI Aradhya rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar aand shiftedthe body of Ashwini to the Government Hospital for post-mortem.
