Mysuru: Sowmya, who displayed exemplary courage in foiling a snatching bid on her, by fighting the gang of robbers, recalled the incident during Property Return Parade today. She was walking her dog on JLB Road, when the robbers who came in a car made a bid to yank off her gold chain.

Alert Sowmya held on to her chain, besides hitting the robber who laid his hands on the valuable, with a stick used to shoo away the stray cattle. Driver of the car lost control and Sowmya with the help of general public who came to her rescue, had succeeded in stopping the gang, which eventually led to their arrest.
