Girl’s suicide at Kattemalalawadi: Accused lover arrested

Hunsur: Hunsur Rural Police have arrested one Lokesh Gowda, in connection with the suicide of a girl at Kattemalalawadi on Tuesday.

Arpitha, the deceased and Lokesh Gowda, also of the same village were in love and Lokesh had promised Arpitha of marrying her. But as he refused to marry, Arpitha committed suicide by hanging self, following which Lokesh had gone absconding.

Based on the complaint by Arpitha’s parents Basavaraju and Kanthamma, Hunsur Rural Police, who had registered a case of abetting suicide against Lokesh Gowda, arrested him yesterday at Hanagodu, according to Hunsur Rural SI Shivaprakash.
