September 4, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Bike borne miscreants have reportedly snatched a gold chain from a woman at Siddarthanagar yesterday evening.

The woman, who lost her gold chain, is 63-year-old N.S. Rathna, a resident of Tyaga Marga in the locality.

Rathna, who had gone to her friend’s house on Neethi Marga in the same locality was on her way back home at about 7 pm, when she saw two youths, aged between 20 and 25 years, sitting on a two-wheeler on Tyaga Marga junction with pillion rider speaking over the mobile phone.

When Rathna passed them and moved ahead, the youth, who was speaking over the phone, yanked off the 80 gram gold chain Rathna was wearing, climbed on the bike on which another youth was sitting and sped away, according to the complaint.

Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to nab the accused youths.
