Gold mangalya chain lifted while boarding bus

Mysuru: A woman has lost her gold mangalya chain while she was boarding a bus at Suburban Bus Stand, which has come to light lately.

The woman, who lost her gold chain, is 52-year-old Hanumanthi, a resident of Soraba taluk in Shivamogga. She is staying with her daughter, who is serving as a Deputy Range Forest Officer in Mysuru district.

Following Gowri-Ganesha festival, Hanumanthi, on Sept. 6, went to Suburban Bus Stand and boarded a KSRTC bus to Shivamogga during which someone stole her gold mangalya chain weighing about 23 grams and worth about Rs. 1.15 lakh.

Hanumanthi has lodged a complaint at Lashkar Police Station.
