December 11, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: A gold mangalya chain has been stolen from a Police Constable’s house at Lal Bahadur Shastri Nagar in city. The person, who lost the gold chain, is 39-year-old Mamata, wife of Police Constable M.P. Mahadevaswamy, who is currently serving in Chamarajanagar.

On Dec. 2, Mahadevaswamy left his house to Chamarajanagar for night duty and his wife Mamata also left for Gundlupet at about 6.30 pm. As it was a night journey, Mamata, who had removed her gold mangalya chain, had kept it in the cupboard of the bedroom. When she opened the cupboard on Dec. 4 morning, she found the gold mangalya chain missing. She finally lodged a complaint on Dec. 8 with Alanahalli Police, who have registered a case and are investigating.
