Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants, who cut open a bag of a passenger travelling in KSRTC Flybus, have decamped with 285 grams gold ornaments from it.
The passenger, who lost the gold, is 50-year-old Nitith Huyilgol, Assistant Vice-President of APG City Gas Pvt. Ltd. at Kuvempunagar and a resident of Vaishnavi Sarovar Apartments at Yadavagiri in city.
He, along with his family members, had been to Pune and arrived in the wee hours at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Jan. 1 from where they boarded the Flybus which arrived to Mysuru at 5.45 am.
When they examined their luggage, they found the bag in which they had kept the gold cut open with a blade and on inspecting the bag they found the gold ornaments weighing 285 grams and worth Rs. 14.25 lakh stolen.
A case has been registered at Lashkar Police Station.
