Worker flees with gold given for polishing

Mysore/Mysuru: A gold polishing worker has cheated his owner by fleeing with 185 grams gold ornaments which was given for polishing.

The incident took place at a gold polish and cutting unit on Irwin Road in city and 37-year-old M.D. Abbus Salam, is the one who has been cheated. Salam had hired five workers from West Bengal and was indulged in the trade at a house on Irwin Road.

On Dec. 2, 2022, 39-year-old Saifuddin Khan, the worker at the polishing unit, had brought six gold bracelets weighing 185 grams from ASK Jewellers for polishing and went missing along with the bracelets from Dec. 5, according to the complaint lodged by Salam on Jan. 6.

Lashkar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
