Golden throne dismantled in Palace

Mysore/Mysuru: With Dasara-2021 festivities formally over, the precious gems studded Golden Throne (Simhasana) at Mysore Palace was dismantled this morning after 30-days of its assembly and is kept in the Palace strong room.

Ahead of Dasara, the Golden throne, weighing 280-kg was assembled on Oct.1. Along with the Golden throne, the Silver Bhadrasana too was  dismantled today and kept in the Palace strong room.

The Palace was closed for tourists and visitors till 2 pm this afternoon due to the dismantling of the Golden Throne.
