Government employees get 30 percent wage hike

Bengaluru: The State Government, which has accepted the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission yesterday, issued an order hiking the wage of Government employees by 30 percent. The wage hike comes into retrospective effect from July 1, 2017 and other monetary benefits will be made available from April 1, 2018.

The wage hike will also benefit pensioners.

It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah had announced wage hike in the Budget presented on Feb.16.
