Congress Party blames Prime Minister for slow pace

New Delhi: Congress Party has alleged that the vaccination process in the country is very slow and the Government is “misleading the people with advertisement and statistics.”

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the Party said, “The pace of vaccination is very slow. It needs to be accelerated.”

“The Prime Minister is responsible for the slow pace of vaccination,” the Party alleged.

According to the official data, the COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the country surpassed the cumulative figure of 73.82 crore on Sunday.

“Vaccinating our people is the surest way to end the Covid-19 crisis, why doesn’t Modi Government understand this simple fact? When will they stop hiding failures?” it asked.

The Party said only 12.28 percent of the population in India has been fully vaccinated.

Special campaign

Meanwhile, BJP will run a special campaign on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sept.17 to help maximum people get inoculated against Covid, aiming to break all previous records.

On Friday, BJP President J.P. Nadda announced that the Party workers at the booth-level will help maximum people get vaccinated against Covid-19. He also said, “BJP had pledged to train 4 lakh volunteers in 2 lakh villages to support the healthcare system. Till now, the Party has trained 6.88 lakh volunteers in 43 days and hopes to touch 8 lakh soon.
