Govt. resumes biometric attendance system for employees

After months of suspension of touch-based biometric time and attendance system for its employees due to the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, the State Government on Wednesday said that it has resumed the biometric attendance system for all its employees with immediate effect.Following the outbreak of the deadly contagion in March, the Government had suspended the biometric attendance system on May 31 as a safety measure. But now, as the COVID-19 case-load is dropping significantly in the State capital Bengaluru and as well in all other hotspot districts of the State, the Government has re-introduced biometric time and attendance system for all its employees with immediate effect, according to a press release.
