Graduate Teacher counselling begins

Mysore/Mysuru: The counselling for newly appointed Graduate Teachers of Government Higher Primary Schools in the district, began at the DDPI Office on D. Subbaiah Road here this morning.

According to DDPI H.K. Pandu, the counselling will take place for 560 teachers of different subjects on different dates. The counselling for 162 teachers in Science and Maths subject is being held today, while that for English (53 posts), Social Studies (247 posts) and CBZ (Chemistry, Botany and Zoology – 98 posts) teachers will take place next week after Dasara holidays. Pointing out that first preference in postings will be given for teachers who have scored high marks in TET (Teacher Eligibility Test), he said that the posting will be allotted directly and in a most transparent manner, without any political or other interference.
