Mysore/Mysuru: “Education is a blessing and one of the necessities” said, Prof. A.H.M. Vijayalakshmi, Joint Director of the Department of Collegiate Education.

She was delivering the valedictory address during the Graduation Day of the 51st batch of B.Ed students at St. Joseph’s College of Education in Jayalakshmipuram recently.

Delivering the Presidential address, Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent, MDES, highlighted that teaching was not just a profession but also a responsibility and emphasised that teacher’s personality should influence the students.

Outgoing B.Ed students took an oath to dedicate themselves to this noble profession and strive to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism and to serve the society, which was administered by Rev. Fr. Avinash, Administrator, MDES. Dr. Priya Mathew, Principal, welcomed the gathering and Anne Jaya Sheela, Assistant Professor, proposed a vote of thanks.
