Greeshma Rangotsava-2025  at Rangayana from June 29

Mysore/Mysuru: Rangayana Mysuru will be organising  ‘Greeshma Rangotsava -2025’ in memory of late theatre person C.G. Krishnamurthy, popularly known as CGK, from June 29 to Aug. 10 (on Sundays) at Bhoomigeeta in Rangayana premises.

Rangayana has invited amateur theatre groups from Mysuru and Kerala to stage plays during the theatre festival. The shows will begin at 6.30 pm on every Sunday.

Addressing presspersons in city recently, Rangayana Director Satish Tiptur said, this year’s Greeshma Rangotsava would be inaugurated by senior theatre person and former Rangayana Director H. Janardhan (Janni) on June 29 at 6 pm.  Ranga Samaja Member H.S. Suresh Babu, Department of Kannada and Culture Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy and Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan will be the chief guests.

Satish also added that the proceeds of the theatre festival would be handed over to the amateur theatre troupes that took part in the theatre festival. 

Ranga Samaja member H.S. Suresh Babu and Greeshma Rangotsava Convenor Arasikere Yoganand were present at the press meet. Entry tickets are priced at Rs. 100 each.

June 29: Smashana Kurukshetra, Author: Kuvempu, Director: Manjunath Bhyate, Troupe: Nepathya Ranga Tanda, Mysuru.

July 6: Ward No. 6, Author: Anton Chekhov, Translation: D.R. Nagaraj, Design and Direction: Mime Ramesh, Troupe: G.P.I.E.R, Mysuru.

July 13:  Ahalya B.D, Author: Henrik Ibsen, Translation: S. Surendranath. Design and Direction: Yatish N. Kollegal, Troupe: Workshop In Mysuru For Theatre.

July 20:  Parameshi Prema Prasanga, Author: Srinivas Prabhu, Direction: Ravi Prasad, Troupe: Rangavalli, Mysuru.
