The Department of Collegiate Education has organised a Mysuru Regional-level  group folk dance contest at Maharani’s Commerce and Management College for Women, Valmiki Road, Paduvarahalli in city on Mar. 12. The contest is open for college students and local artistes. One team can have 8 to 15 performers and each team will be given 10 minutes to perform. Only folk dance forms are allowed. There will be three prizes — first prize (Rs.10,000), second prize (Rs.8,000) and third prize (Rs. 6,000). There is no registration fee.
