Higher Education and District Minister G.T. Devegowda (GTD) will inaugurate the Water Sports, organised jointly by the District Administration and Tourism Department, as part of Dasara celebrations tomorrow (Oct.5) at 10 am at Varuna Lake on T. Narasipur Road here.

Tourism and Sericulture Minister S.R. Mahesh will inaugurate the Information Centre. MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah will preside.

Zilla Panchayat (ZP) President Nayeema Sulthana, MPs Prathap Simha and R. Dhruvanarayan, MLAs A.H. Vishwanath, S.A. Ramdas, Tanveer Sait, K. Mahadev, L. Nagendara, B. Harshavardhan, Ashwinkumar & Anil Chikkamadu, MLCs R. Dharmasena, K.V. Narayanaswamy, Marithibbegowda, K.T. Srikantegowda, Sandesh Nagaraj, ZP Vice-President G. Nataraj, Taluk Panchayat (TP) President Kalamma Kemparamaiah, Vice-President N.B. Manju and others will be the chief guests.

Various water sports, including Jet Ski, Speed Boat Ride, Kayaking, Still Water Rafting and Canoeing, will be held at the Lake which is about 10 kilometres away from city.
