GTD writes to EC Seeks externation of Kempaiah, Ramaiah

April 2, 2018

Mysuru:  Chamundeshwari JD(S) MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD) has urged the Election Commission  (EC) to extern retired IPS officer Kempaiah, who is functioning as the Home Minister’s Advisor and Chief Minister’s Secretary Ramaiah from the State in order to hold free and fair Assembly polls.

Speaking to media persons here yesterday, GTD alleged that both Kempaiah and Ramaiah were indulged in election related malpractices.

Accusing the two of distributing money and liquor in Chamundeshwari Constituency, where Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will contest against him, Devegowda alleged that the duo was using the Police force to threaten JD(S) workers besides misusing official machinery.

Urging the Union Government and the EC to look into the alleged malpractices of the two, the JD(S) MLA said that the EC should take a serious note of the charges and extern them from the State to ensure free and fair polls in Chamundeshwari   and Varuna.
