Mysuru: The Karnataka Teachers Forum has demanded statutory benefits such as PF and ESI for Guest Lecturers serving in Government First Grade Colleges and University.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Forum President Sharath Raj alleged that the Education Department had failed to grant statutory benefits to Guest Lecturers.

Alleging that the Education Department was sitting on a Government Circular in this regard, he urged the Government to act immediately on their plea seeking statutory benefits.

He also warned of taking a legal recourse if the Government failed to meet the just demands of Guest Lecturers who have been serving for years without any benefits.
