Guest Lecturers threaten to intensify stir

Mysuru:  As part of the Statewide protest, Guest Lecturers under the banner of Government First Grade College Guest Lecturers Association, staged a demonstration in front of the Office of the District in-charge Minister in CADA premises here yesterday.

The Guest Lecturers are urging the Government for job security and fulfilment of other demands. Addressing the protestors, Association President K. Somashekar said that many protests and representations to the authorities seeking job security and fulfilment of their other just demands, have yielded little result.

The Chief Minister had promised constitution of a Committee to look into the demands and it is unfortunate that it has not happened so far.

The Association has sought a meeting with the Chief Minister on Jan. 6, during which they will again press for meeting their demands, he said and added that the protest will be intensified if there was no positive response from the CM.

Association office-bearers Dr. P.M. Mahesh, D. Nagaraju and others took part in the protest.
