Mysuru: Shri Mysore Gujarati Samaj is organising “Navaratri-2019” an annual event in aid of charity where people from all walks of life get together to perform and enjoy the traditional Gujarati folk dance — Garba and Dandiya Raas.
The event is a unique one with a perfect blend of culture, tradition, music, dance, dignity and decorum. The celebrations continue for nine days from Sept. 29 to Oct. 7 at 7.30 pm daily.
Apart from the fun and frolic, the Goddess is worshipped in her nine different forms. As part of the rituals, an aarti will be held on all days at 9 pm at the venue.
The added attraction this year is the live band performing to traditional Gujarati music and the DJ. Also, the delicious food stalls serving tasty and delicious snacks. The event is going to be held at Shri Mysore Gujarati Samaj, Yadavagiri, from Sept.29 to Oct. 3. From Oct.4 till Oct.7, it will be held at Nityotsava Convention Hall in Krishnamurthypuram.
