Gundlupet by-poll : Liquor, food seized

With the model code of conduct in force for Gundlupet bypoll, Excise and Sector Officers in raids conducted at different places in the constituency, have seized liquor and food, allegedly meant for distribution among voters.

During the raids, the officials seized a total of 3,240 litre of liquor found in possession of two persons at Kaggala village, 1,080 litres of liquor at Tondawadi and 1080 litres of liquor at Begur.

The officials also seized vegetable bath that was found in the backyard of the house of a person at Kabbahalli village in the taluk. The vegetable bath was allegedly prepared for a BJP rally in the village, it is learnt.
