Gurunath (84), senior member of Sri Kanaka Jayanthotsava Samithi and a resident of Hosabandikeri, passed away yesterday afternoon at a private hospital in city following brief illness.

He leaves behind two daughters, two sons and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill here this morning.
