Mysuru: Marking the Shashtipoorti of Sri Patta Guruswamiji of MM Hills Salur Bruhan Mutt, a Guruvandana has been organised at the Mutt’s Mysuru Branch in Alanahalli here near Ring Road on July 15.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, former President of Basava Balaga Okkuta M.H. Mahadevaswamy said that the function would be inaugurated by Minister for Municipal Administration Eshwar Khandre at 10.30am and presided over by MLA G.T. Devegowda. He added that former Minister Narendraswamy would present Prathiba Puraskara to meritorious children. He further said that a procession carrying an idol of Mahadeshwaraswamy will be taken out tomorrow at 6.30pm in Alanahalli accompanied by folk troupes.
