Mysuru: ‘Haadu Haleyadadarenu,’ a musical evening programme, featuring songs from late Puttanna Kanagal’s movies, organised by DTS Foundation in memory of late D.T.S. Rao, was held in Kalamandira here last evening making audience tap their feet as singers performed.
The event featured songs from movies Vijayanagarada Veeraputra, Bellimoda, Mallamana Pavada, Manasasarowara, Kiladi Kittu, Gejjepuje, Autoraja and others, sung by singers Shreya K. Bhat, Dr. A.D. Srinivas, Rashmi, Nagalakshmi, Chandru, Manjunath, Thyagaraj, Mohan and others.
As singers rendered songs such as Apara Keerthi Galisi Merewa Bhavya Naadidu, Moodala Maneya Muttina Neerina Yerakaawa Hoida, Haadu Haleyadadarenu Bhava Nava Naveena, Gaganavu Yello Bhoomiyu Yello, Baare Baare and Neene Saakida Gini among others, the audience were seen tapping their feet and enjoying the music.
Earlier, speaking after inaugurating the programme, MLA G.T. Devegowda spoke about his association with late D.T.S. Rao.
Mayor M.J. Ravikumar, D.T.S. Rao’s brother D.T. Prakash, City Congress President R. Murthy, Zoo Authority of Karnataka Chairperson Mallige Veeresh, former Minister S.A. Ramdas and others were present during the programme.
