Hanuma Bai Mangipudi

Hanuma Bai Mangipudi (84), wife of late M.V. Sastry, who was a research scientist at CFTRI and a resident of Jayalakshmipuram, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in city.

She leaves behind two daughters, Shanti and Pari Poorna, a son Rtn. Krishna Mangipudi and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at Chirashanthidhama in Gokulam yesterday.

A service will be held in her memory at ISKCON temple in Jayanagar here on Aug. 11 and mid-day meals for 18,000 students studying in government schools in city will be sponsored in her name which will be delivered by Akshaya Patra.
