‘Hara Hara Mahadeva Shiva Shambo’: Rare choreography in praise of Lord Shiva on Mar. 11

Mysore/Mysuru: Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre (VPAC) and Kalandhika Academy of Arts, Mysuru, will be presenting ‘Hara Hara Mahadeva Shiva Shambo,’ a rare choreography in praise of Lord Shiva as part of Shivarathri celebrations.

The event will be inaugurated by Vidu. Dr. Jyothi Shankar, a renowned scholar, who will also be delivering a talk on ‘Shivarathri Mahima (Significance of Shivarathri).’

Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will present her latest choreography ‘Hara Hara Mahadeva Shiva Shambo’ in Vasundhara Bani based on the compositions in praise of Lord Shiva.

The following highly talented artistes will take part in the choreography of Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy along with Dr. Vasundhara: Sujay Shanbhag, Premitha Govind, Deepthi Ganesh, C.S. Pooja, N. Anusha Raj, Sinchana Lokesh, Namrata Jois, Gowri B. Rajendra, Apeksha G. Devannur, Sanvi Udupa, Chaithanya Shadakshari, Medhini and S. Chinmayee.

Accompanying artistes (credits) are Vidu. Deepthi Srinath (vocal), Vid. Hanumantharaju (mridanga) and Vid. Rakesh Sudhir (flute).

The event will be held between 6 pm and 9 pm on the day of Shivarathri — Mar. 11 at ‘Vasundhara Bhavan,’ 8th Main, 8th Cross, Kamakshi Hospital Road.

The admission to the event is by invitation and free for art-lovers, according to a press release from VPAC Programme Coordinator T.R. Harish.
