Harrowing experience in Rajya Rani Express

March 10, 2017

Sir,

Just a few days back I was travelling to Bengaluru by Rajya Rani Express which departs from Mysuru at 2.30 pm. The journey was very awesome up to Naganahalli. The train reached Naganahalli so fast that I didn’t feel like I travelled. It was there almost at 4.30 pm. But trouble started only after that.

It was a harrowing experience for the passengers as the train was so near but so far and it took almost 1 hour 15 minutes from there to reach Bengaluru.

Similar kind of experience I faced when I travelled from Bengaluru to Mysuru by Hubballi-bound Tipu Superfast Express. It is scheduled to arrive in Bengaluru at 2.30 pm but it arrived at 3.15 pm. It is supposed to depart to Mysuru at 3 pm but it departed at 4.15 pm (reason not known) and reached Mysuru only at 6.30 pm. This clearly shows the callous attitude of Railway authorities  towards the  gullible passengers who waited so patiently for the train to depart and  they never expressed their displeasure or anger or became violent at any point of time due to the delay in the departure of the train.

Another thing is that there is no difference between the Superfast, Express and Passenger trains except the fare as all these trains take almost 3 hours to reach their destinations. In my opinion it is the Railway authorities who are solely responsible for this sorry state of affairs in the department.

Hence I request the Railway authorities to wake up at least now (better late than never) and set this problem right at the earliest so that the passengers will have a very happy, painless and                                safe journey.
