Hassan:  Days after Hassan DC Akram Pasha was transferred under directions from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the State Government on Thursday   transferred Hassan SP A.N. Prakash Gowda, also on the directions of the ECI.

IPS Officer Chetan Singh Rathore has been appointed as Hassan SP in place of Prakash Gowda, who has not been given new posting right now.

Chetan Singh Rathore was serving as FSL Director at Bengaluru. The BJP had sought the ECI to transfer Prakash Gowda in connection with an incident that took place in Hassan district during last year’s Assembly polls, it is learnt.
