‘Have a teacher, leader or mentor in life’

Mysore/Mysuru: The Graduation Day Ceremony of 2024 passed out MBA students of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSIETW), Mysuru, was held at M. Govinda Rao Memorial Hall, at GSSIETW premises recently.

Rajesh Sharma, CEO, Kaynes Technology India Ltd., Mysuru, was the chief guest. 

In his address, Sharma, emphasising on the long-lasting value of respecting teachers, called upon the graduates to identify: A Life Guru — a guiding force who can help steer their personal and moral compass; A Professional Mentor — someone who can help them navigate the complexities of the corporate or entrepreneurial world.

Citing his own experience, Sharma vividly compared the corporate world to a “corporate jungle,” cautioning that without the guidance of seasoned mentors young professionals may lose their way. He concluded with a reminder, “Always have a mentor, a leader or a teacher in your life for every aspect that you might approach.”

B.V. Srinivasa Gupta, Vice- President, GSSS, Mysuru, who presided, said that knowledge is supreme that will certainly make great changes in the career of students.  Dr. S. Shashidhar Mahantshetti, Associate Professor, Department of MBA, GSSSIETW, introduced the chief guest. Anupama B. Pandit, Secretary, GSSS, advised the students to show gratitude to their parents and teachers for their contribution.

The degree certificates were distributed to 116 MBA students by the dignitaries. The oath was administered to the passed out students by  Aarabhi Ramanujan, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, GSSSIETW.

O. Pratap Kumar, Joint Secretary, GSSS, R.K.  Bharath, Management Committee Member and CEO, GSSS, B.K. Nataraj, Management Committee Member, GSSS, Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, heads of various Departments and faculty members were present.

The event was coordinated by N.S. Pavithra Gowtham, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA and Deepa Dyavanagoudar, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, GSSSIETW.
