Hazarath Salar Shariff

Hazarath Salar Shariff (70), a tailor, former Muezzin of Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road and a resident of Ajju Nagar in Kesare, passed away yesterday morning at a private hospital in city following brief illness.

He leaves behind three daughters, four sons including Hafiz Sattae Shariff, Deputy Imam of Jamiya Masjid on Irwin Road and a host of relatives and friends.

Namaz-e-Janaza was held yesterday evening after Asar (5.45 pm) at Masjid-e-Azam followed by the burial at the Muslim Burial Grounds near Tipu Circle, according to family sources.
