HDK invites former Minister Ambarish for swearing-in

Bengaluru: CM-designate H.D. Kumaraswamy yesterday invited actor and former Minister M.H. Ambarish for his swearing-in ceremony to be held later today.

Kumaraswamy, who returned from New Delhi after meeting Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and BSP Supremo Mayawati late on Monday night, visited the actor’s residence in Bengaluru to personally invite him.

Kumaraswamy was accompanied by his actor-son Nikhil Gowda, Maddur JD(S) MLA D.C. Thammanna and the MLA’s son Santosh Thammanna.

The invite assumes special significance as Congress       leader Ambarish, after refusing to contest from Mandya, is said to have indirectly helped the JD(S) candidates in all other Assembly segments of Mandya.
