He was inquisitive since childhood: Mother

March 16, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Mahadesh Prasad’s mother A.R. Rathnamma (Nagarathnamma), a resident of Bogadi II Stage, is elated with the news that her son is playing a crucial role in developing COVID-19 vaccine. Speaking to SOM, she said that it was a proud moment for her.

“I have three children and all of them are scientists who are contributing to the society in their own way. Mahadesh Prasad was very active and inquisitive since childhood and he used to challenge many conventional ideas. He developed scientific spirit at a very young age,” she said.

Nagarathnamma recalled that her son excelled in academics and was a globe-trotter, learning, researching and finding new areas of research. “It is a proud moment for my family and it is a matter of pride for India,” she said.
