Headless body of a woman found near Kalastavadi

Mysuru: A headless body of a woman, cut into two pieces, was found behind a bridge near Kalastavadi village on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway this morning.

Farmers, who were on their way to their agricultural fields, found the body without the head and informed the Police Control Room, which in-turn alerted the jurisdictional Metagalli Police.

Metagalli Inspector Sunil Kumar and staff, who rushed to the spot and found the headless body and launched a search to trace the missing head.

City Finger Print Unit ACP Rajashekar, City Dog Squad, N.R. Sub-Division ACP Umesh G. Shet and DCP N. Vishnuvardhana also visited the spot.

The details of the woman is yet to be known.

Metagalli Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have shifted the body to JSS Hospital mortuary at Bannimantap in city and are investigating.
