Health awareness poster expo at Sub-Urban Bus Stand

Mysuru: The two-day exhibition of awareness posters with pictorial depiction focussing on health, cleanliness and hygiene, which is being held at the premises of Sub-Urban Bus Stand here, will conclude today.

The expo, organised jointly by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Information and Public Relations, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and other organisations, was inaugurated by Zilla Panchayat (ZP) CEO K. Jyothi.

Focussing mostly on children, the posters cover the list of Primary Health Centres, hospitals, services available there, ills of open defecation and malnutrition, prevention steps to be taken to control dengue, chikungunya, fluorosis, immunisation chart for kids, advantages of breast-feeding, mental health problems among children and many more.

Health Officer Dr. Krishnamurthy, Department of Information and Public Relations Assistant Director R. Raju and others were present during the inaugural.
