Hectic lobbying for KPCC President’s post

Bengaluru  – With the Congress High Command keen on replacing KPCC President Dr. G. Parameshwara, hectic lobbying has begun in the Congress for the post.

Ministers M.B. Patil, D.K. Shivakumar and senior leader S.R. Patil are said to be in the race for the post while the incumbent KPCC chief Dr. Parameshwara too is trying his best to continue in the post.

As the Party High Command has learnt that there is no consensus in the election of Shivakumar for KPCC President’s post, the party top brass seems to be in a dilemma.

However, CM Siddharamaiah is said to be against the continuation of Dr. Parameshwara and also against the appointment of Shivakumar. As such, the party High Command is unable to take a decision on the appointment.

Meanwhile, the Congress top brass is said to be mulling on the appointment of Shivakumar or M.B. Patil to the post. There is also a possibility that Dr. Parameshwara may continue with the post after quitting as Home Minister.
