January 8, 2025

Mysuru: Observing that training in personality development is very much important  for officials, T. Yogesh of the ST Welfare Department, said that officials who are engaged in delivery of Government benefits and facilities to tribals living in hamlets, must render service honestly and efficiently.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 5-day Administrative Training and Re-orientation Workshop for officials of ST Welfare Department at Karnataka State Tribal Research Institute (KSTRI) in Bogadi here on Monday.

Stressing on the need for the officials to first thoroughly understand and correctly interpret all Government circulars issued from time to time, Yogesh said that the officials must visit the hamlets for collecting accurate data and related inputs on distribution of BPL cards, Ayushman Health Cards, power connections, education of children, number of school dropouts and the reason, literacy rate in Ashrama Schools etc. Thereafter, the officials must act on the gathered data, information and inputs for rendering all necessary help and  support to the tribal communities, he added.
