Mysuru: As part of the world-famous Mysuru Dasara Mahotsava-2026, the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage has organised three unique programmes with the aim of introducing the public, students and tourists to the historical and heritage buildings of Mysuru.
Oct. 15: Heritage Walk will be held and the first 300 people who register can participate.
Oct. 16: Heritage Cycling programme for those in the age group of 15-50 years. First 100 people who register will be given e-cycle and others may take part with their own bicycles.
Oct. 17: A Tonga Ride for couples dressed in traditional attire. The first 50 registered couples in the age group of 25-55 years can take part.
All the three programmes will begin at 7 am from the Rangacharlu Memorial Town Hall and proceed through the city’s major heritage roads and buildings, before culminating at the starting point.
Those interested in participating may register their names free of cost before Oct. 10 during office hours (excluding holidays) at the Office of the Deputy Director at the premises of the Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) in person or by e-mail at [email protected] OR [email protected]
