Hijab-Saffron shawl  row:  City  Top Cop says no  to ‘for & against’ protests

Mysore/Mysuru: Even as the Hijab-Saffron shawl row is raging across the State, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta has clarified that there is no permission for anyone to take  out pro or against protests over the issue.

Pointing out that there is no permission for taking out rallies, holding demonstrations or any other forms of protests regarding pro or against Hijab, Dr. Chandragupta warned of legal action against those indulging in protests.

Cautioning against disturbing peace and harmony in the city, the Police Commissioner said that prohibitory orders under Section 144 of Cr.PC will be imposed if found inevitable.
