Hindi Research Scholars undergo training at CIIL

Mysuru: A  five-day training-cum-workshop  on Testing & Evaluation and Item  Writing for the Hindi Research Scholars of the country, was held at National Testing Service-India (NTS-I) of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru from Nov.12.

Prof. P.R. Dharmesh Ferna-ndez, Head, NTS-I, in his presidential address referred to various schemes of CIIL and their contribution to the protection and development of Indian languages.

He pointed out that the research scholars learning the concept of Testing & Evaluation and practicing Item Writing will help them in their research work in general and developing research tools in particular.

As the participants are going to be appointed as teachers, their knowledge and skill gained during this programme will help them in getting through competitive exams like NET and also for developing their professional skill in their career as teachers in colleges and Universities, he said.

Dr. Biresh Kumar, Resource Person, NTS-I, briefed the objectives of the programme. Dr. Sanjay Prasad Srivastava, Junior Resource Person-Academic, welcomed. Dr. M. Narayana Reddy, Junior Resource Person-Academic, proposed a vote of thanks.  

Prof. N. Nadaraja Pillai, formerly of CIIL; Prof. M. Gnanam, former Professor Central Hindi Institute; Prof. Pratibha Mudaliar, Department of Studies in Hindi, University of Mysore and others trained the participants.

In all, twenty-nine Research Scholars, who are engaged in teaching/research of Hindi, from various Universities and Colleges of India participated in this training workshop.
