Mysuru: All India Institute of Speech & Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, recently conducted “Hindi Week” at the Institute for its employees. Various Hindi competitions for staff and JRFs were arranged under two categories — Region A & B and for Region C. Noting & Drafting, Dictation, General Knowledge, Oral Quiz and Pick-N-Speak competitions in Hindi were held.
A drama on the theme ‘Communication & Its Disorders’ was also performed.
At the valedictory function, Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi, Secretary- TOLIC, Mysuru, was the chief guest.
Dr. S. Venkatesan, Director (in-charge), said that Hindi plays a vital role in uniting the community as a whole.
Dr. S. Ramkumar, Chief Administrative Officer, spoke on compliance of all the Constitutional provisions on the use of Official language Hindi.
Dr. H.P. Uma Saraswathi, Hindi Translator and Co-ordinator, presented the report on Official Language Implementation for the year 2018.
