Mysuru: As part of reconstruction of Sri Moodalubagilu Anjaneyaswamy temple at Srirangapatna, the Hindu Jagaran Vedike will be taking out a massive Sankalpamaale rally and Sankeertana Yatra at Srirangapatna tomorrow (Dec.15).
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, the Vedike Convenor Lohit V. Urs said that the Hindu Jagaran Vedike has been organising Sri Hanumamaala programme at Srirangapatna for the past several years.
Accordingly, the devotees from Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru and other parts of the State have started wearing Maala since seven days, ahead of Hanuma Jayanti. Maintaining that the Hanumamaale Vrata is aimed to pray for Moodalabagilu Anjaneyaswamy to return to its place of origin, Urs said that at present, the Anjaneyaswamy idol is consecrated at a small place near Kshanambike and Jyotirbheemeshwara temple in Srirangapatna.
The Yatre starts from Nimishamba temple premises at 10.30 am tomorrow (Dec.15). The devotees will march to Srirangapatna town, for darshan of Anjaneyaswamy and return to Nimishamba temple.
