Historical drama staged at K. Hemmanahalli

The historical drama Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna was staged on Jan.20 by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kala Vrinda in collaboration with Kannada & Culture Department, Mysuru, at the premises of Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple in K. Hemmanahalli. The event was inaugurated by G.N. Ananthavardhana and M. Ganesh of Sri Mahalingeshawara Temple. The drama was directed by noted senior stage artiste B. Leelavathi (Dodda Leela). Picture shows a scene from the play — Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna (Mahadeva Guddappa) is caught by Britishers and Lord Pickering (Dr. N.N. Prahallada) after abusing Rayanna pronounces final judgment to hang him.
