Mysore/Mysuru: A priest was killed when an unidentified vehicle hit him on the Ring Road, in front of Yasin Masjid in Rajivnagar on July 17 morning.

The deceased has been identified as S. Abhishek (23), a priest at Sinduvalli village in the taluk.

On July 17 at about 6.45 am, Abhishek was proceeding on the Ring Road towards Kalyangiri on his Passion Pro bike (KA-09-JD-3781), when an unidentified vehicle rammed into his bike and sped away.

Abhishek, who sustained serious injuries was admitted to a private hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

A case has been registered at Siddarthanagar Traffic Police Station.
