Mysore/Mysuru: Outgoing Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) A.M. Yogesh on Monday suggested the officials to conduct cluster phone-in programme of five Government Departments twice a month in order to hear public grievances.
Speaking to press persons after the conclusion of the hour-long phone-in programme at the ZP Hall here on Monday, Yogesh said that holding of cluster phone-in programmes will help people to air their grievances that are related to multiple Departments. Also, a single phone line has its own limitations and as such, many people can air their grievances or complaints.
He suggested that Departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing and Animal Husbandry can be part of one team and Social Welfare, Senior Citizens Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Minorities Welfare and SC/ST Welfare Departments as another, for holding such cluster phone-in programmes for the benefit of public, which should be done twice a month.
He further said that the KDP Progress Review Meeting will take place on Mar. 2, which will be chaired by the District Minister.
Officials from all the Departments should attend the meeting with progress reports as on Feb. 15, he added.
