Hon. Fellowship for ex-VC

Former Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Venkataramaiah, who is a resident of Vishwa Manava Double Road in Kuvempunagar in Mysuru, has been accorded Hon. Fellowship of Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA), Bengaluru, in recognition of his contributions to Science and Society, Philanthropy and Literature.

Prof. Venkataramaiah, who retired as a Physics Professor at University of Mysore (UoM), had also served as the head of Science Promotion Committee of the University post his retirement for about 15 years, during which he conducted a variety of science promotion programmes and workshops in High Schools in four districts coming under the jurisdiction of the University. He will be formally conferred the award at a ceremony to take place in Bengaluru next month, according to KSTA Chairman Dr. Ayyappan.
