House burglar arrested: 40 grams gold chain worth about Rs. 1 lakh recovered

Mysuru: N.R. Police have arrested a person on charges of committing house burglary and have recovered a gold chain from him.

The accused is 40-year-old Ravikumar of Gollanabeedu village in H.D. Kote taluk of Mysuru district. He (accused) was caught near the Government Ayurveda Hospital Circle on June 26.

During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of opening the locked house in N.R. Police limits using a duplicate key and stole the 40 grams gold chain kept in the almirah at the house. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered the gold chain worth about Rs. 1 lakh from him.
