Gold ornaments and silver articles worth about Rs.40,000 recovered

Mysuru, Sept.3 (KS)- Mandi Police, on Aug.31, have arrested a person on charges of committing house burglaries and have recovered 10 grams gold ornaments and 110 grams silver mask of Goddess Lakshmi from him.

The accused is 24-year-old Ashok, a construction labourer and a resident of B.M. Sri Nagar in city. During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of burgling a house at Belagola village in KRS Police limits in 2018 and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered the stolen items worth about Rs.40,000 from him.

DCP B.T. Kavitha and N.R. Sub-Division ACP C. Gopal, supervised Mandi Inspector L. Arun, ASI Guruswamy and staff Jayapal, Jayakumar, M. Eliyas, Chandrashekar, Ravigowda, Shankar T. Bandivaddar and Hanumatha Kalaida in the nabbing and recovery operation, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
