House burglaries: Cash, gold ornaments stolen in separate incidents

Mysuru: In separate incidents, two houses were burgled in Shanthinagar and at Hebbal in city.

While burglars struck the first house, two friends looted cash in the second house.

In the first incident, burglars who gained entry into a locked house on Sept. 22 at Shanthinagar have decamped with gold ornaments from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of one Ateeq Ahmed, who had locked the house and had gone out with his family members.

The theft came to light when Ahmed and family returned and saw the door open. Upon entering the house, Ahmed found gold ornaments weighing about 103 grams kept in the almirah missing. A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station in this regard.

In the second incident, two friends, who were staying their friend identified as Shivasagar in Hebbal, have looted Rs. 4.5 lakh cash kept in the house.

A case has been registered at Hebbal Police Station in this regard.
